Job Description


  • Position Summary
    • The MRI Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures involving the application of magnetic resonance for patient diagnosis, with knowledge of all pertinent technical and academic areas to produce consistent, high quality examinations
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Associate's Degree or Applied Science Degree in related field is required. Continuing education is expected.
    • License/Certifications: Venipuncture certification where applicable is required. Current BCLS required.
    • Experience: Progressive experience and demonstrated technological skills is desired.
    • Registry with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) is required. Must apply and take ARRT Advanced MRI Registry examination within 18 months of date of hire
    • Working knowledge applicable to MR scanning technology with specific references to cross-sectional anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles as applied to MR scans is desired
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff
    • Ability to respond the changing workload based on patient census
    • Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations
