As a 43-bed independent, public hospital district with a four-star rating from Medicare, we remain focused on providing a personal and compassionate healthcare experience with a range of services and exceptional quality care typically found in a larger facility.  The Recruiter serves as Island Hospital’s Recruiting Coordinator and is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization by leading the full cycle recruiting and comprehensive onboarding program reflective of the Hospital’s Promise Values. This position will lead the recruitment efforts of clinical, non-clinical, technical and leadership positions. The Recruiting Coordinator will develop a comprehensive outreach strategy incorporating our values and patient centered care philosophy to include recruitment advertising, social media outreach, and building local pipelines of talent through educational institutions. This position will partner closely with leaders to impact retention by focusing on all facets of the selection process and contributes to an onboarding experience that recognizes the importance of the new hire experience, celebrates the Hospital Promise and achieves a successful transition for the employee. The Recruiting Coordinator will identify market and workforce trends that may necessitate new recruitment strategies to ensure the Hospital can remain competitive in attracting key talent to ensure the ability to deliver an optimal care experience to our patients. Requirements: A minimum of five (5) years of full life-cycle recruiting experience required with previous healthcare recruiting experience strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required. PHR / SHRM-CP or CHCR certification encouraged.
