We treat each employee, patient and resident like we would a member of our own family, and measure our success by the direct impact we have on improving the quality of life for our employees, patients and residents.   Responsibilities: The CNA administers medication to nursing residents, under the direction of the nursing and administrative staff. Administers and documents medications in accordance with the five rights: right medication, right route, right resident, right time, right dose. Administers and documents medications given by following specifically written physicians orders, including oral, topical, and suppository medications, as well as eye and ear drops. Reviews resident Medication Administration Records daily for order changes. Assures that medication labels match medication orders on the MAR. Assures that certain medications are dated when opened and routinely cleans medication cart. Obtains and records resident’s vital signs and weight. Observes, records, and reports observations such as unexpected and untoward effects from medications. Assists residents with activities of daily living. Answer resident calls for assistance. Assist residents to and from the dining room and activities. Serves and monitors residents during dining. Assist in clearing tables after meals. Provides a high level of quality care and service to all residents and their families in a professional, positive manner. Must attend all required trainings and in-services. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Educational Requirements and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Current CNA/CMA certification in the state of TX. Minimum 6 months of experience.
