Under the direction of the Clinic Manager or Supervisor, the Medical Assistant oversees the effective clinical operations of the assigned Clinic. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and manages patient flow in the clinic, serves as a patient advocate between the clinic and outside entities, and is responsible for clinic safety and execution of proper protocols. Works in close cooperation with and under the guidance of the physician(s) or advanced practice clinicians.
One (1) year of healthcare experience with previous experience in an out patient Physician practice preferred.
Must maintain current Medical Assistant-Certified credential issued by the WA Department of Health.
Must maintain current BLS certification.
Additional compensation provided to Medical Assistants that maintain national certification issued by AAMA or NHA.
