Summary

  • Position Summary
    • This position involves training and end user support of MMP's EpicCare Ambulatory and Access training curriculum, which includes training of providers, clinicians, practice staff and MMP administrative office staff; development and implementation of a quality assurance process to include Practice Outreach; maintaining application functionality within the MaineHealth model system and supporting end user needs. This position acts as a primary credentialed training resource for the MMP Application Support Team and involves classroom based training of end users and one on one training as directed. Work is complex, analytical, and problem solving in nature, and is performed with a high degree of independence. Work is performed under minimal supervision. The credentialed trainer will also provide back up support to the MMP Application Support Team Tier I Help Desk support.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Credentialed in Epic focused modules or complete MH credentialing program.
    • Experience: 2 to 3 years' prior training/support experienced with computerized systems.
    • Knowledge of Clinical and Practice Management practice workflow with the ability to understand the integration of applications and their impact on operations.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing in both technical and non technical terms for users and support staff at all levels.
    • Ability to work effectively throughout the organization by establishing effective working relationships with all departments and levels of medical staff, hospital staff and physician practice administration.
    • Demonstrated independent judgment in time of need along with the ability to seek guidance and/or support from appropriate resources.
    • Conveys authority and confidence.
    • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
    • Must be able to capture the audience while delivering training materials.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to travel throughout various locations in the organization.
    • High level of proficiency required with the MS Office Professional Suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
