We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced, high acuity Inpatient Physical Rehab Unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. If you have a passion for service excellence…we want to hear from you! This is a per diem position, with variable shifts. Must be available for at least 2 days per week during orientation. Position Highlights: • Help maximize patients’ functional independence leading to 75% of patients going home when discharged. • Work with a welcoming, supportive multi-disciplinary team that includes providers, therapists, nurses, and techs • Flexible schedule The ideal candidate will have: • A valid state of Maine RN license or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required • Previous RN work experience, new grads welcome to apply! Job Description: Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
