Under the direction of the Clinic Manager or Supervisor, the Clinic LPN oversees the effective clinical operations of the assigned Clinic. The LPN provides direct patient care and manages patient flow in the clinic, serves as a patient advocate between the clinic and outside entities, and is responsible for clinic safety and execution of proper protocols. This position works closely with, and under the guidance of, the Physician or Advanced Practice Clinician.
Two (2) years of healthcare experience with previous experience in an outpatient Physician practice preferred.
Must maintain current LPN license issued by the WA Department of Health.
Must maintain current BLS certification.
Clinic LPNs assigned to work in the specialty of OB/GYN will also be responsible for the following:
Perform initial OB visits with patients including prenatal flow sheet, determining risk of pregnancy and order labs and special services per established protocols.
Order tests per established protocols based on gestation and diagnosis.
Perform specialized testing in clinic such as, but not limited to, urodynamics testing.
Triage patients effectively to determine urgency of issues, work patients into physician schedules based on urgency and/or direct patient to Labor & Delivery and/or Emergency Room.
Manage physician schedules by assessing and triaging patients when physician is emergently called away from clinic.
One (1) year of experience in the skill areas above is strongly preferred to work in the OB/GYN specialty.
