The Registered Dietitian position supports the continuum of patient care by ensuring optimal nutritional status for all patients of the facility by: cooperating as a healthcare team member, recommending nutritional intervention for patients at risk monitoring intake, participating in planning sessions and providing adequate documentation for patient nutrition treatment. This position functions as a liaison between other clinical disciplines and the Dietary department. The Registered Dietitian is expected to maintain professionalism, demonstrating a sound knowledge base and judgment in the care of patients as well as awareness of legal issues and accreditation standards pertinent to aspects of assigned care and department function. This position assists the Dietary team in a manner consistent with the Mission and Vision of Coulee Medical Center. One year of experience in a medical environment is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree from nationally accredited college or university in dietetics, food and nutrition, food services systems management or closely related field; have passed their respective national competency examination, committed to completing ongoing educational requirements and hold a current Washington State Registered Dietitian License.
