Nurse Practitioner- Per Diem - Occupational Health

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) also known as Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides medical care to the patients within the scope of privileges for which the certified practitioner is educationally and clinically prepared and granted by the state of Maine licensing board and according to the policies and procedures of the hospital and the OH clinics under the general direction of the Director of Occupational Health. The certified practitioner will maintain prescriptive authority and comply with licensure requirements.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s Degree level of education is preferred.
License/Certifications: Current license issued by the State of Maine as Nurse Practitioner with SMHC supervising physician required. Current certification as NP required. BLS certification is required.
Experience: Three or more years of experience in an occupational health setting preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
