For a limited time Maine Behavioral Healthcare is offering a $5,000 hiring bonus for all eligible Clinicians!*

This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to join a growing practice in Norway, Maine. The clinician would provide care across the life span and join a group of like-minded talented professionals, including psychiatric providers, therapists, case managers, peers, and administrative staff who work closely together with primary and specialty care in the hospital system. In person and telehealth opportunities are available and clinical duties include: conducting and documenting individual and family psychosocial assessments; documenting the findings of evaluations and progress in clients’ medical records; conducting and documenting family and/or couples treatment of clients and their families; maintaining contact with community resources for after care and providing comprehensive discharge planning services. All services will be provided in a manner and language appropriate to the age and comprehensive level of the clients and their families.

*Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Hiring Bonus is paid out 50% at hire, and 50% after successful completion of 6 months.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
2. License/Certifications: Maine State licensure to practice as a LCSW is required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if applicable.
3. Experience: 2+ years of related work experience in a health or mental health setting preferred; depending on client population to be serviced, desired work experience may vary. Prior experience with clinical methods and techniques used in individual, family and group therapy as related to mental health and/or substance abuse issues is required.
4. Knowledge of social work/ counseling theories, therapies and techniques, as used in individual, family and group treatment, as well as principles of social welfare are required.
