This position will oversee the Project Management Team that is part of the Clinical Trials Office at Maine Medical Center Research Institute. Project Managers (PMs) are responsible for facilitating the planning and implementation of various phases of clinical research projects for Maine Medical Center and affiliated hospitals. The PM team collaborates with multiple departments to provide assistance with investigator-initiated, grant funded, and industry-sponsored studies, including:
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Study start-up administration
- Cost assessment, logistical planning, and feasibility
- Budget and contract negotiation
- Billing and compliance
- Project closeout
- Program development and process improvement
Education: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
License/Certification: Appropriate licensure is required.
Experience: Three (3) years’ experience.
Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and research acumen required.
Skills should include ability to troubleshoot issues with regard to the program or office.
Must have good organizational and personnel management skills, communication skills, both personal and written, business planning acumen.
Must have a working knowledge of administrative policy and/or federal regulations e.g. DOL, USCIS, Health care, Research or other applicable field.
Demonstrated experience in administration and the management of staff.
Current best practice with associated technologies.
