Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi-automated or automated methodologies and equipment. Performs phlebotomy procedures and assists in other laboratory activities as requested. Also, is competent in providing direct care to patient with in the following age brackets: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric.
Medical Technologist performs supervisory duties when supervisor is not available.
MT-BS degree in Medical Technology, previous as MT preferred. Proper certification by the Board of Registry (ASCP) or eligible or a certification accepted to the State DHR as an MT.
MLT-A.A. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, previous Experience as MLT is preferred
