Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Dining Services, the Wait Staff Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the team of wait staff assigned to the Thornton Oaks dining room.  The objective is to maintain a staff that is courteous, efficient, professional, and well trained in communicating with residents and staff.  The Wait Staff Team Leader will play an integral role in orienting new employees, coaching staff toward excellence, and ensuring compliance with safe food handling.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: N/A.
    2. License/Certifications: N/A.
    3. Experience:  Five (5) years’ experience in customer dining services or comparable experience.
    4. Possess excellent public relations skills.
    5. Possess good knowledge of food service operations especially as relates to food safety.
    6. Demonstrates good knowledge of serving and the rules, practices, and regulations which apply.
    7. Ability to work with other personnel to ensure smooth operation.
