Oversees the activities of the Phlebotomist team and works with the Laboratory Director to create the schedule for phlebotomy coverage. Phlebotomist, Lead provides coverage for various assignments, which include phlebotomy, maintaining laboratory files, handling of specimens/reports, processing outpatients, answering and directing phone calls to appropriate areas/personnel, and processing all specimens that come into the laboratory when needed to better serve the patients. Responsible for clerical duties necessary to maintain high quality and efficient daily operations of the laboratory, including but not limited to, ordering phlebotomy supplies, filing of laboratory orders, faxing of patient’s results, and assists with clinical/clerical laboratory functions as needed.
Education - High School Diploma or GED
