The House Supervisor assists the Nursing Leadership in the coordination of The Archer Institute with the operational needs of the various departments as well as the clinical unit/area responsibilities. This is a position that requires both Administrative functions, as well as, Floor Leadership functions. The House Supervisor provides leadership & has 24 hour responsibility and accountability for the successful operation of all Behavioral Health Programs. The House Supervisor participates as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation and administrative decision making with particular focus to the nursing roles, functions and operations within behavioral health programming. The House Supervisor will report to and assist the management team (Administrator, DON, Nurse Manager(s), and Clinical Educator). The House Supervisor will assist with various daily operations including but not limited to: staffing, chart audits, and treatment plan updates. The House Supervisor will work with various departments to coordinate the flow of admissions and discharges, assist the staff on each unit when necessary, troubleshoot daily issues, address complaints from patients/families/coworkers, assist with gathering lost belongings and assure patients receive these belongings. The House Supervisor will assure the daily schedule is followed regarding groups, assure staff are posted properly throughout the units, following policies and procedures, and assist with maintaining patient and environmental safety. The House Supervisor is responsible for collaboration with hospital leaders, physicians and other team members to meet performance requirements. Supports employee and patient education to enhance knowledge, skills and necessary behaviors to achieve quality outcomes. Adopts an approach to hospital-wide performance improvement that ensures important processes and activities are measured, assessed, and improved and a culture committed to excellence. Effectively acts as a liaison between clinical staff and the medical staff. The House Supervisor will have knowledge of departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The House Supervisor is a steward of the hospital's mission and service excellence program.
