Responsible for providing assessment, counseling, education and a wide range of therapeutic interventions for the treatment and rehabilitation of those clients with a dual diagnosis of psychiatric illness and substance abuse.
Qualifications: Education, formal training and clinical experience working with dual-diagnosed clients. Master's degree in a related human service field. If certification, licensure, or registration is required by the discipline, it will be required upon hire. At least two years of experience to include experience in psychiatry as well as substance abuse. Considerable knowledge of the diagnostic criteria of mental illness/substance abuse as well as appropriate therapeutic intervention used in the treatment and rehabilitation process. Understanding of group therapy, AA, NA, and 12-steps. Must maintain BLS certification.
