Job Description


  • Position Summary
    • Partners with leadership, managers, staff and clinicians to advance the most critical enterprise initiatives in performance and quality improvement. Leads highly complex projects to design, develop, modify and implement healthcare delivery systems with enhanced quality, safety and value. Provides a range of consultation services to organizational leaders and department managers on the development and implementation of key strategies for creating and sustaining a high performing healthcare organization. Develops and leads formal trainings and coaching to staff, managers, clinicians and senior leaders about change management, systems thinking and data driven problem solving to promote deeper understanding of system failures and opportunities for improvement. Serves as a system-wide leader for applying performance improvement and project management theory and techniques.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent training with at least ten years of experience in a healthcare setting OR bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of relevant experience required. Master’s degree in systems engineering, business or healthcare administration preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Formal performance improvement certification at the Black Belt level required. Project management certification and facilitation certification preferred.
    • Experience: See "Education." Experience with relevant statistical analysis software preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple, large and complex quality improvement projects in a healthcare setting required
    • Demonstrated analytic skills, including data analysis, data visualization and database management required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
    • Demonstrated ability in mentoring or supervising others required
    • Understanding of consulting models and high level of business acumen preferred
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
    • Collaborative and team oriented
