Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Ultrasound Tech for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area.

Position Reports to: Radiology Director
Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and/or invasive procedures, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties. The patient population would include the pediatric patient, the adolescent patient, the young-middle aged adult patient, and the geriatric patient.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures with the level of competence required by the ARDMS, ACR, and the Medical and Administrative Directors of Radiology. Maintains both quality and quantity of the patient workload at the professional level demonstrated in the department.
Displays an understanding of procedures and equipment utilized throughout the department. This includes abdominal, OB, Vascular, non-invasive vascular, along with general ultrasound, as well as echocardiography procedures and equipment, including PACS
Capable of accessing the needs of each patient taking into consideration age, limitations, disabilities, and pain factors. Explains the procedure to the patient or significant other in a manner the patient or significant other can understand.
Communicates information to other personnel through out the department and hospital accurately and efficiently.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Assists patients, physicians, hospital staff and the public in a professional and friendly manner.
Promotes good working relationships among staff and other departments; treats everyone with respect and courtesy. Demonstrates Service Plus Skills. Respects patient/employee confidentiality

Attends mandatory inservice (i.e. hospital all day inservice) or department training.
Assumes responsibility for acquiring the necessary continuing education credits required by the ARDMS and if necessary, ARRT, and the Ohio Department of Health and demonstrates the willingness to learn new procedures beyond the assigned job tasks.

Maintains an acceptable level of absenteeism and tardiness based on the hospital and radiology policy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and ARDMS registry or registry eligible. One year experience in ultrasound and radiology preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current ARDMS registry and Ohio Department of Health Radiographic license.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Able to use all fixed and mobile imaging equipment within job description. Basic computer skills is a plus.
