The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) at Maine Medical Center (MMC) is Master's prepared, nationally certified nurse as defined by the AACN Role Description Practice Standards 2003. The mission of the CLN is to assure the provision of expert, quality, evidence-based care for patients and families in a variety of practice settings. The CNL also provides leadership in the development of staff, resources, and programs that support the MMC mission. The CNL partners with health care providers and management teams to develop and deliver quality health care to specific patient populations.
The incumbent is a member of the Nursing Resources team and supports R3 - a General, Vascular and Trauma Surgical Unit. He/She will support the complexity of this patient population.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Masters degree required. Graduate from a Masters program in nursing with an AACN approved CNL curriculum.
Experience: 3-5 years' clinical experience required in area of expertise prior to Masters prepared education. Experience as registered nurse, knowledge base from CNL academic program.
Skillful communicator, problem solving, systems analysis, financial expertise, evidence based practice and research.
