Working under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Manager/Supervisor, the Lead Echo Tech is responsible for administering or assisting medical staff with the following diagnostic tests: Echocardiogram, M-mode, 2D, Doppler, Stress Echo, Contrast Bubble Studies, and TEE's. Additionally the Echo Tech assists with Stress Testing, Holter monitors, Event monitors, and EKGs.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Knowledge of Cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as procedures and equipment at a level generally acquired through completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in 2-D echo, Exercise and Chemical Stress echo and TEE's is desirable.
Must be registered in adult echo.
