Job Description

Coordinates and maintains the clerical and receptionist functions of assigned units under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to help provide optimal patient care. Sets forth a positive image of the work place through good guest relation concepts. Assists the unit director in maintaining unit operations by ensuring appropriate charges and cost containment measures. Qualifications Formal Education and Certifications REQUIRED High school or equivalent education PREFERRED Successful completion of an approved unit secretary course or completion of Medical Terminology Course and unit secretary experience Knowledge and Experience PREFERRED Clerical and computer experience
