Location/Department: Hospital - Finance
The Accounting Clerk will be an integral component of the organization’s Finance department. Responsible for all daily banking activities, including the daily reconciliation of all cash posted into system. This position will be responsible for the daily download and maintenance of the electronic payment file from the organization’s bank accounts. They will process all checks received daily in a timely manner, including creating bank deposit, creating batch paperwork, and finally scanning all documentation into system. The position will collaborate and provide cross-functional support for the daily cash operations of the organization. They will communicate out of balance issues to appropriate MMH team member and assist as necessary with resolution. The position will prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all MMH bank accounts. In addition, the individual will maintain all documentation and reports in proper order for auditing purposes. The Accounting Clerk position will require analytical skills and computer software knowledge, specifically MS Excel, in order to efficiently and effectively complete daily responsibilities.
High School education or equivalent. 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Skills needed for this position: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through writing. Ability to work with autonomy in an efficient and effective manner. Actively looks for opportunity to improve processes. Must be self motivated – capable of taking initiative to prioritize projects and effectively manage deadlines. Excellent knowledge base and extensive experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
