Summary

  • Position Summary
    • This position is responsible for responding to and following through on Health Information Management related calls to include, release of information patient and requester inquiries, issues and concerns in a timely and accurate manner. The position will be responsible for prompt response to telephone calls, emails, in-person patient inquiries and voicemails on behalf of the Health Information Management department. Must convey a friendly, caring and professional attitude to all customers following the Maine Health Core Values.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: At least two years' experience in a healthcare setting or administrative setting
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in performance of duties
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be able to operate multiple integrated software applications, and other programs to include resources and e-mail.
    • Ability to work independently, multi task, provide instruction, prioritize and manage multiple demands while supporting strong, positive customer service relationships under pressure
    • Computer and keyboarding skills required
