A Polysmonographer/Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required by the hospital and within the scope of licensure in Maine.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an approved one-, two-, or four-year college with major in Respiratory Care.
- License/Certifications: Registered Polysomnographer or one (1) years’ experience in a sleep laboratory, or certificate of completion from a polysomnography training program. CRTT or RRT (preferred) with appropriate state licensure. BLS. ACLS.
- Experience: Due to the nature of the Polysomnographer position, at least three (3) years’ experience in Respiratory Care, with extensive experience in CPAP/BIPAP application.
