Job Description

This position is responsible for creating a positive first impression to clients accessing the services of Rehab Specialties, coordinating therapist schedules, greeting and scheduling clients, information gathering and response to incoming questions. Position also includes data gathering, transcription, registration, medical record and clerical billing operations. Requirements Job Functions Performs general receptionist functions such as greeting, scheduling and registering patients, answering incoming phone calls and screening those calls to forward as appropriate. Performs general secretarial functions such as filing, copying, transcription, entering daily charges, creating and maintaining medical records and distributing information to support the Lead Therapist and other clinicians as appropriate. Provides a positive first impression to patients and communicates as necessary to assure smooth access and transition into the patient care process of Rehab Specialties; including collecting co-pay’s, processing credit card payments. Assures reimbursement through basic insurance processing tasks. Assures that department office equipment and office supplies are properly supplied and maintained. Maintains clinic statistics. Monitors petty cash and reimbursement. Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Appropriately records various department meeting minutes. Performs other Duties as assigned.       When functioing as a Profession Coordinator Works with Site Lead & Product Line Coordinator to fill gaps in appointment schedules according to staffing capabilities Assists wiht staff schedule as requested Participates in the staff performance review process. Participate in the hiring and orientation process. Perofrms initial assessment of applicants. Assures Med Record Content Competency for profession across all sites and product lines. Assist site lead and product line coordinator to assure medical record content competency specific to discipline. Assures charges are done accurately. Deals with denails due to treatment practice of profession. Distributes reimbursement issue information to professional staff. Look at Site and Product Line budget needs for efficiency and cooperation options. Lead Profession workgroup. Coordinates with Site lead and product line coordinator to maintain consistent policies, procedures, environment and equipment for profession at all delivery locations. Coordinate with site lead to select C.I. Assure clinical instructor competency. CCE Fieldwork Coordinator tasks completed or delegated.  Responsible for strategic initiatives/targets for site. Provide integration of plan through use of Control Monitors/Performance Measure. Acts as an advocate, mentor and facilitator of performance improvement methods. Participates in promotion plan. Assists with development and identification of target customers for profession.
