Responsible for performing the diversified duties required to maintain computer system applications. Maintain the Clinical Performance Improvement systems for the corporation (including, but not limited to,) ESPI, Invision, Premier, Midas, Stat-It, and JA Thomas. Coordinate and supervise ACC, STS, Endovascular and Stroke Registries. Create spreadsheets and data bases for quality analysis. Ability to create line graphs, bar graphs, histograms, spider grams displaying important quality data demonstrating ability to convert data to knowledge. Analyze and determine information requirements to assist with the Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycle of quality improvement. Ability to build and write ad hoc reports as requested by management, physicians, and senior management is required. Work closely with all departments within the corporation to assist with quality data collection and presentation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Information Systems,
Computer Science or related field preferred. Two to three years or related computer experience and healthcare
experience required. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate varied activities and work with senior and mid-
level managers as well as physicians. Expert level knowledge of Excel, excellent interpersonal skills, Word,
PowerPoint, report building and database and registry management required. Intermediate knowledge level of
Access preferred. Demonstrated ability to build reports and indicators within Midas and/or other EMR or
documentation systems and /or other relational database systems. Ability to build reports in Stat-It for quality
initiatives including real-time reports with drill-through functionality or have experience doing so in other quality,
relational system databases, or EMR systems. Knowledge of building reports for Ongoing Professional Practice
Evaluations (OPPEs). Demonstrate a sufficiently thorough understanding of data and relationships to interpret
reporting needs and build and implement reports accordingly.
