The Nursing Supervisor assesses, plans and directs the operations and functions of the departments in the hospital setting. This includes cost control, personnel management, quality improvement monitoring, direct and indirect patient care. Lead educator and consultant who role models advance practice in the care of every patient regardless of age or viability. Coordinates and manages employee resources effectively in relation to patient acuity, staffing issues, and communication, while demonstrating critical thinking, confidence, core values, fairness and flexibility. Some of the major job functions include but are not limited to:
Responsible for assuring that the quality of nursing care delivered meets established standards of care
Collaborates and confers with staff, physicians, directors and other departments in order to assure the delivery of excellent patient care
Models the core values, mission and vision of Culpeper Medical Center.
Maintains all requirements and necessary certifications in AHA Healthcare Providers BLS , AHA ACLS, HICS Training, AHA PALS, Safety, Infections Control and yearly educational hours.
Models hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Floats to other nursing units as required or needed. Assigned and performs patient care responsibilities up to level of skills and competence.
Graduation from an NLNAC accredited School of Nursing
Critical Care experience preferred
Recent 5 years minimum acute care experience required
Minimal 2 years leadership experience required

Registered Nurse with a current license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
