Bachelor’s Degree or three years of hospital pharmacy experience. Must be licensed with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician before the onset of duties. National certification is required. Additional PTCB advanced certifications are preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and ability to work in stressful environments is essential. The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks is also desired. At least five years of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.

Work is conducted in a normal hospital environment, and involves close eye work and hearing within normal range. Operations will be performed on the computer and multiple other types of technology. Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds of weight is possible. Pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds may be encountered. Expect frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
This position is directly supervised by the I n f or r m a t I c s p h a r m a c y t e a m l e a d and indirectly by the pharmacy leadership team and other staff pharmacists. The tasks performed require an in-depth knowledge about pharmacy processes and procedures, pharmacy technology systems, and pharmacy regulations. This position will be responsible for working with pharmacy leadership to keep pharmacy software updated, maintain billing integrity, as well as assist in regulatory compliance. This positions requires both the ability to work well as a team and handle independent workload to meet required deadlines. May periodically be responsible for performing other pharmacy technician duties as assigned.
