STNA HOSPICE OF CINCINNATI: The primary role of the STNA is to provide direct patient care to Hospice of Cincinnati patients under the direction of a registered nurse. The STNA will assist with, and/or perform, basic activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, assistance with ambulation, etc., and the STNA will serve as a provider of companionship and emotional support, even during times of crisis. The position is responsible for knowing safety policies and following approved procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED General Studies Successful completion of Home Health Aide competency skills checklist as required by Medicare regulations Basic Life Support (BLS) STNA Certification; Completion of Nursing Student Clinical Training is also acceptable and only required upon hire.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: This position works for Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash Inpatient Care Center. Must be willing to float to all settings of Hospice of Cincinnati as needed to meet patient needs. Floating may include the 4 inpatient care centers (Anderson, Blue Ash, Hamilton, and West), Homecare, and Crisis Care. Conducts bedside shift reporting, point of care charting, and purposeful hourly rounding. Knowledge of basic keyboarding skills and able to perform computer related tasks.
