Job Description

The Patient Appointment Coordinator serves as a patient advocate with each interaction reflecting the Island Hospital Promise Values - Service Excellence, Teamwork and Compassion. This position is responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient insurance eligibility, assisting patients upon check-in and check-out, preparing documents for clinic appointments, entering patient demographic and insurance data into the EMR and offering other administrative office support.    Requirements:  Previous medical front office experience obtained in an outpatient setting strongly preferred.  High school diploma required, advanced education encouraged.  Please note that this position will be located at the Orcas Clinic on Orcas Island.
