Job Description
This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by providing excellent internal customer service allowing our patient care providers to focus on the patient. Will report accurate and timely financials and communicate effectively with peers so organizational decisions can be made.
Job Duties
Reconcile various balance sheet accounts
Function as the Lead on preparation of audit work papers
Compile monthly financial reports and biannual donor endowment fund reports
Lead the preparation of the 990 Tax Return
Record various monthly journal entries for financial statements
Maintain all accounting records for Mercy Medical Center Foundation (MMCF)
Prepare and oversee year-end Form 1099 information for MMCF
Update and maintain fund balance reports
Serve as finance contact for Foundation leadership and staff
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Ten key proficiency
Written and oral communication skills

Professional Experience
Minimum five years of general accounting experience - required
Education
Bachelor of Science/Arts or Business Administration Degree - Required
Major in Accounting - Preferred
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Certification by the State Board of Certified Public Accountants - Preferred
