Current licensure or permit as a registered nurse in the state of Arkansas.
Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, patient care procedures; ability to operate technical equipment as acquired through orientation.

Responsible for assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients on a daily basis. Under the general supervision of the Director, Patient Care Manager, Assistant Patient Care Manager, and Registered Nurse in charge, when not in charge. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by the hospital.
The LPN-RN Scholarship is a LPN-RN role that allows financial and professional support to our hired LPN staff who have been accepted into an RN program. The position allows the LPN to receive a $2400 bonus over 26 pay periods, while enrolled in an RN program. Upon completion of the RN program, a one year work agreement is required to further grow this employee's skills as an RN with St. Bernards. Hired LPNs will need to work in specified units as an LPN and as a new grad RN. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria.
Accept a full-time LPN position with St. Bernards within 6 months of graduation or be promoted to new grad LPN during that time.
Work as a bedside nurse in a designated unit.
St. Bernards must be the new grad’s first place of employment as an LPN.
Gain acceptance into an RN program- applicant must provide proof.
