Starting Hourly Rate for Ed Tech III = $18.32 (based on education and experience).


The Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders Preschool is a year-round, private, special-purpose preschool for children ages 3 to 5 with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities. The program utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment team including BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, Special Educators and Educational Technicians. Children receive individualized instruction in communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive development, and motor skills utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis.

The Ed Tech III will provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to achieve communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students in accordance with the Individual Treatment Plan, IEP and/or Positive Behavior Support Plan utilizing the tools of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. High School diploma with a minimum of 90 college credit hours required for certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education
  2. Experience/interest in working with individuals ages 3-5 with autism and other developmental disabilities
  3. A minimum of two years' experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred
  4. DOE fingerprinting required
