Provides uniformed, armed law enforcement protection and services by the authority of the Attorney General of North Carolina.
Education and Credentials Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Basic Law Enforcement Certification (BLEC). Valid NC driver’s license with violations not exceeding medical center standards or insurance carrier regulations. Certification in CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) within six months of employment and annual recertification. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.
Some College Courses.
Two years experience as a sworn Police officer, Sheriff’s Deputy or other sworn Law Enforcement. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
More than two years experience.
