Job Description

Performs diagnostic testing of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems under indirect supervision to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the heart, lung, and vascular disorders. Must have the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. May be cross-trained to perform EEGs. Qualifications Required: Formal Education and Certification Current registration with unrestricted license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of West Virginia Basic cardiac life support (BCLS) (if Certification is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire) Registered in Cardiac Sonography Knowledge and Experience Demonstrated success in the skills of respiratory care   Preferred: Formal Education and Certification A.S. degree in respiratory care from an accredited school of Respiratory Care Knowledge and Experience Cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) Neonatal resuscitation program (NRP)
