This position is accountable for the timely and efficient operation of the automated wash system to include a continuous batch washer, automated drying systems to ensure clean and sanitary linen.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and perform simple arithmetic calculations in order to assemble properly sized loads and maintain routine records.
Ability to operate automated equipment such as the computerized CBW and the central chemical supply system.
Approximately 90-120 days of on-the-job experience necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of appropriate linen categories, washing supplies, equipment and various textiles and their specific processing requirements
Ability to walk and stand for up to one hundred percent of work time and to push carts weighing several hundred pounds up an incline.
Requires the ability to multitask.
The Washroom Technician program through Association of Linen Management will be distributed with the expectation to complete the program within 6 months of hire.
