Provides direct care to patients on an assigned unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. Responsible for managing care of assigned patients and guiding and directing the activities of ancillary staff. May function as a charge nurse. Functions on the nursing unit as assistant to the physician.
Education/Experience Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current South Carolina license and CPR Training. Encouraged within one year to obtain the following certificates: NRP,PALS, and ACLS. Minimum: Associate Degree or Diploma required One year experience in Nursing, Medical Surgery, or Pediatrics is preferred. New nurse orientation is provided by the staff education department. Additional orientation for new nurses is provided on the nursing unit utilizing the orientation plan
