The Crisis Stabilization Worker (CSW) is an entry level, vital and dynamic role in a short-term, 7 bed unit for adults in acute crisis. CSW's have a unique skill-set that allows them to participate in the intake and discharge process, provide de-escalation skills, manage the milieu, pass medications and provide empathy and therapeutic support to a diverse client population. Operational tasks include meal preparation and unit housekeeping. This is an exceptional entry level position as it provides a variety of clinical opportunities.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Social work or other related field is preferred
License/Certifications: MHRT-I certification or eligibility to receive certification is required. Proof of all certifications required for provisional MHRT-I. Qualified by DMHMR/SAS as "other qualified mental health professional."
Experience: 1+ year of experience working in a crisis stabilization setting is preferred. 2+ years of experience working with a broad spectrum of mentally ill clients is desirable.
