Working under the direction of the Cardio Pulmonary Manager/Supervisor, the Echo Tech is responsible for administering or assisting medical staff with the following diagnostic tests: Echocardiogram , M-mode, 2D, Doppler, stress echo, contrast bubble studies, and TEE's at SMHC and SMHC Cardiology.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Knowledge of Cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as procedures and equipment at a level generally acquired through completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
License/Certifications: BLS Certification required.
Experience: Minimum of six to twelve months of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Previous experience in 2-D echo, Exercise and Chemical Stress echo and TEE's is desirable.
Must be board registered within 1 year in Adult Echocardiography.
