Starting Hourly Rate for Ed Tech III = $18.32 (based on education and experience).

 

 

The Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders Early Intervention In-Home Program provides a full-year program for children under the age of 3 with ASD or suspected ASD. A multi-disciplinary team including BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, Special Educators and Educational Technicians effectively collaborate with caregivers to support each child in reaching his/her maximum potential using the principles of applied behavior analysis.

 

Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and the Director, the Education Technician III provides individualized instruction and behavioral support in our year-round home/community based treatment program for 1-3 year olds with autism.

As an Ed Tech III, you will provide services that support the achievement of communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students in accordance with the Individual Treatment Plan, IFSP and/or Positive Behavior Support Plan utilizing the tools of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma, with at least 90 college credit hours or equivalent required. Post high school study in educationally related field preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Certification as an Educational Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) or the ability to be certified. Certification as School-Based Behavioral Health Professional preferred (may be provided upon hire).
  3. Experience: 2+ years of experience working with children or youth with developmental disorders, mental health disorders, and/or behavior problems in school, hospital, or residential setting.
  4. Demonstrates knowledge of early childhood development.
