Under the direct supervision of the charge nurse, provides direct nursing care and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Demonstrates cooperative relationships and facilitative communication with all members of the health care team.
Formal Education and Certifications
CPR (if CPR is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire)
Successful completion of the MNA orientation program
Training and Experience
Previous experience as M.N.A. or graduate of an Aide Vocational Technical Program.
Crisis Intervention Class
Previous experience in a patient care setting.
