VISITOR SCREENER: This position provides COV19 screening to everyone (team members, physicians, patients et al) that enters the building each day, asking questions, recording answers, taking temperatures, and providing additional instructions to the patient and/or team member per current safety and procedure guidelines. The position will be cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care; work cooperatively within the team concept demonstrating flexibility, motivation and commitment to quality patient care. This position’s tasks include visitor, patient, and team member interactions, tracking and documentation, and safety duties.
EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED Basic Life Support (BLS)
EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years of health care customer service experience.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: This position’s tasks include visitor, patient, and team member interactions, tracking and documentation, and safety duties.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFICS: Provides patient, visitor, or public (e.g. vendors) with helpful education and directions (e.g. no visitor policy, social distancing) upon arrival to the building and as well as medical next steps based on answers to screener questions or if there is presence of a fever.
