The Flex Pool is made up of an adaptable and dynamic team of employees that is able to work in multiple service lines at both Healthplex and Porter campuses. These include both medical and cardiac intensive care units, medical and cardiac step down units, Med/Surg, Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, and post-surgical units as well as the occasional special assignment that may include procedural areas. Supervises nursing care, and in collaboration with the physician, coordinates total patient care for patients by leading and directing an interdisciplinary care teams.
Floats from one unit to another as requested. These include both medical and cardiac intensive care units, medical and cardiac step down units, Med/Surg, Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Overflow/COVID, and post-surgical units as well as the occasional special assignment that may include procedural areas or ER.
Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
2 Years Critical Care Experience to include sufficient orientation to and demonstrated annual competencies for: Basic & Advanced Hemodynamics, Pacemaker and Mechanical Ventilation.
HLC Modules to be completed as assigned to ICU and CVICU RN staff.
Prefer experience in Advanced Hemodynamics, IABP, CRRT, Mechanical Ventilation, Heart Recovery, Artic Sun and Pacemaker.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
ACLS & Basic EKG interpretation certified within 6 months of hire.
ACLS: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training preferred.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
