Job Description

The Medical Assistant assists physicians and performs administrative and patient care duties in a physician office.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School graduate or equivalent, with ability to read and write. 2.  Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or minimum of 2 years related experience in physician’s office or clinic. 3. Current National Certification as CMA required. Greets all patients entering the office for services and visually assess patient conditions.   2. Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies. 3. Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; prepares for physician visit by obtaining initial information and vital signs; assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures. 4. Prepares patients’ medical records for pertinent data; requests previous records from appropriate sources. 5.
