Job Description

The Director of Employment Services will work closely with the HR leadership team to drive HR initiatives related to recruitment, employee engagement, employee relations, and performance management across Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC). maintain best companywide employee relations practices which strive to maximize performance, minimize risk, and expedite decision making.   Description:   Leads and develops a broad and dispersed HR team across multiple locations.  Evaluates and provides ongoing development of HR talent to ensure that value added HR advice and counsel is provided to staff and management across the organization; Develops relationships and leverages resources with key HR shared services areas (e.g., benefits, compensation, labor relations, occupational health, learning & professional development, etc.) to ensure comprehensive and quality services are delivered in a coordinated manner; Translates strategic plans into effective and cost-efficient HR operational plans; Builds relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to help drive results; Develops and promotes innovative staffing strategies to identify talent, leverage recruitment resources, and address workforce planning needs; Directs the utilization of CCHC’s talent management, recruiting and employee relations computer system; Fosters progressive and proactive programs to attract, engage, and retain employees; actively works to maximize employee engagement and the overall employee experience across the organization; Manage, oversee, and conduct workplace investigations, resolve grievances, and respond to employee complaints with consistency and a sense of urgency and with guidance of our General Counsel; Leads development of a comprehensive onboarding process for staff and management; Manages CCHC’s performance evaluation program, providing training and ensuring adoption and completion; Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements, ensuring HR policies, practices and procedures comply; Leads development of programs that offer a wide range of services including change management, organizational development consulting, and teambuilding; Analyzes relevant measures and prepares presentations and reports to help in decision making and strategy development; Attract, retain, and motivate the best talent.  Mentors and fosters growth of employment services team; Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred; PHR or SPHR designation a plus; Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience; Demonstrated success with HR team development; ability to lead, motivate, plan, and review the work of direct reports; Experience working in a large, complex organization with a matrixed staff; Experience working with collective bargaining agreements; Superb customer service skills; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a broad and diverse group of stakeholders; Demonstrated experience in implementing career development initiatives, workforce planning strategies, and enhancing employee engagement; Ability to collaborate, influence, and drive results with passion, tact, and persuasion; Commitment to applying a high touch, high service approach to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring quality service; Strong business acumen; Passion for new and cutting-edge approaches; demonstrated creativity and innovation; Must be dynamic and nimble with an ability to drive change and be a results-oriented team member; Comfort in utilizing technology to enable an HR service delivery model; Advanced computer skills and ability to work with relational databases; Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple initiatives concurrently; Ability to analyze and synthesize facts, and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions; strong critical thinking and decision-making skills; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; Ability to foster a cooperative work environment; demonstrated ability to apply emotional intelligence; Advanced knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations; Ability to demonstrate a high level of creative problem-solving and priority-setting; The physical duties for this position include but are not limited to a mostly sedentary environment with occasional bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching.  Physical duties are subject to change. Expected to travel locally in support of HR team members.
