Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Current state licensure or licensure within an enhanced compact state. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS/PALS certification preferred.
One year of Medical/Surgical or ICU nursing preferred.

Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to carry up to 40 pounds. Pushing/pulling of up to 350 pounds. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Fine motor skills. Must be able to see with corrective eyewear. Must be able to hear clearly with assistance. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors.
Under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, the LPN is responsible for providing direct and\or indirect patient care. Under the general supervision of the Director of Inpatient Nursing and Registered Nurse in charge. The LPN is responsible for functioning within the scope of practice dictated by the authority of the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act. The position requires flexibility of scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center on all units.
