Job Description


  • Position Summary
    • Operates Nuclear Medicine equipment and prepares isotopes for administration to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; adheres to all federal, state, and NRC guidelines.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • License/Certifications: Current State of Maine license in radiology and nuclear medicine. Current Nuclear Medicine Technology certification board or completion of AART approved Nuclear Medicine Program and obtain credentialing in Nuclear Medicine Technology within one year. Current CPR certification.
    • Current ARRT registration.
    • Performs duties in an independent manner with little or no supervision.
    • Assumes personal responsibility for ongoing education and professional development.
    • Demonstrates an ability to solve job related problems such as equipment malfunctions, patient positioning and scheduling demands.
    • Knows all aspects of the day to day operation, with scheduling and appropriate scans to be performed.
    • Refers unresolved issues to appropriate personnel (Director, Lead Technologist or Radiologist).
