Plans and directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the Respiratory Care and EEG Departments. Develops services, policies, procedures, resource plans, and coordinates department programs, services and activities with other departments and services to meet overall hospital goals and objectives. Responsible for management and supervision of department staff.#CB
1. Ability to plan and execute a full range of administrative tasks in operating a large and complex department.
2. Ability to analyze complex problems and situations and realize potential effects of proposed actions.
3. Knowledge of budget preparation, purchasing bookkeeping and personnel management.
A. Work Experience:
Three years experience in clinical respiratory care and five years management/supervision experience.
B. Education and Training:
Graduate of an approved AMA Respiratory Care Program and bachelors degree in Allied Health Administration or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
