University Health Physicians, an academic group practice affiliated with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in conjunction with its major teaching facility Truman Medical Centers/University Health (TMC/UH), is seeking board-certified/board-eligible emergency physicians. All qualified candidates will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates with research experience or fellowship training. Compensation and benefits are competitive.
Truman Medical Center is a level I trauma center and STEMI center. The ED has an annual volume of 62,000 adult patients in a modern, state-of-the-art facility with 48 beds. The Department supports one of the nation’s oldest fully accredited three-year residency programs, with 33 residents. In addition, the Department provides EMS medical direction for the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department and recently founded a Medical Education/Simulation fellowship.
