ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These functions are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and requirements of the job. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.                  Answers incoming phone calls, patient inquiries and customer care interaction. Perform general administrative patient care duties including scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, overseeing patient satisfaction within clinic; confirm patient information for accurate patient treatment and insurance filing. As well as maintaining patient confidentiality. Collect payments from patients and accurately apply to the patient account. Verify insurance eligibility prior to patient visit. Schedule exams and record information pertinent to exams ordered by referring physicians or patients, if applicable. Collect payments from patients and accurately apply to the patient account.  Knowledge and performance in applicable systems and computer programs. Advanced knowledge of front office job duties to provide back up for scheduled or unscheduled time off for staff, as needed. Also, for ability to train new staff.  Maintains the seminar material for the Bariatric insurance folder per patient.  Maintains the seminar material for the Bariatric insurance folder per patient.  Arranges and plans the Bariatric seminars with the clinic lead and physician.  Maintain clean and orderly working environment, including patient waiting room and reception area, monitoring restrooms and report needed attention or repairs. Consult with patients regarding processing of fees, office procedures, and oversee patient satisfaction within clinic as needed. Other duties as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to learn and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Prefer at least 1-2 years of experience working within a medical office environment and/or 2-3 years of customer service experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, reports and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, radiologists, physicians, vendors, agencies, or management.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of math.  REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions with several abstract and concrete variables.  OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Understanding of complexity, the practice and record retention required. Understanding of physician and staff relationships in a fast paced environment.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
